    • 🐟 1 can (190g) mackerel in water
    • 150g firm tofu, cut into bite-sized pieces
    • 🥬 250g cabbage, chopped
    • 🧅 1/2 stalk green onion, sliced diagonally
    • 🌰 1/2 tbsp white sesame seeds
  • Soup Base

    • 🧄 1 clove garlic, thinly sliced
    • 1 tsp chili paste
    • 1/3 tsp Japanese dashi powder
    • 🧂 1/3 tsp salt
    • Pinch of pepper
    • 💧 400ml water

Cut tofu into bite-sized pieces.

Chop cabbage into bite-sized pieces, slice green onion diagonally, and thinly slice garlic.

Heat the soup base ingredients in a pot until boiling. Add tofu, cabbage, green onion, and mackerel (including the can liquid). Cover and simmer on low heat for 2–3 minutes until vegetables soften. Sprinkle sesame seeds before serving.
