Cut broccoli into bite-sized pieces and slice green onion thinly.

Bring water to a boil in a pot, add canned scallops and seasoning ingredients (mirin, soy sauce, dashi powder). Cover and simmer over medium heat for 4 minutes.

Add broccoli and green onion, simmer for 2 minutes. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and bring to a boil to thicken.
