INGREDIENTS

- 🍗 1 piece (250g) chicken breast
- 5 whole bell peppers (150g)
- 3 slices ginger
- đź§‚ Pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/2 tbsp vegetable oil
Simmering Sauce
- 1 tbsp sake
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 1 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/3 tsp dashi powder
- đź’§ 200cc water
STEPS
Crush the bell peppers gently with your hands.
Slice the chicken breast diagonally, sprinkle with salt, and coat lightly with cornstarch.
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the bell peppers and press them down with a spatula, cooking for 1–2 minutes.
Add the simmering sauce ingredients and ginger to the pan. Bring to a boil, then add the chicken pieces. Once boiling again, cover with a drop lid and simmer on low heat for 5–6 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
