INGREDIENTS

- 4 large taro
Meat
- 200g thinly sliced pork belly
Staple
- Potato starch as needed
- 1/2 tbsp salad oil
Seasoning
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
STEPS
Cut taro into quarters and rub with salt to remove slime. Wash thoroughly and drain.
Place taro in a microwave-safe container, cover loosely with plastic wrap, and microwave at 600W for 4 minutes.
Cut pork belly slices in half, coat them with potato starch, and wrap around the taro pieces.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the wrapped taro and cook until browned, turning occasionally.
Add the seasoning mixture (sake, mirin, sugar, soy sauce) and coat the wrapped taro evenly.
