    • 🍚 2 bowls (400g) cooked rice
  • Protein

    • 🥩 200g sliced beef
  • Vegetables

    • đź§… 1/2 onion (100g), sliced
    • 40g chopped takana pickles
  • Seasoning

    • 1 tbsp sake
    • 2 tbsp mirin
    • 🍬 1/2 tbsp sugar
    • đź§‚ 1 tbsp soy sauce
    • 1/2 tsp grated ginger
    • đź’§ 150ml water
  • Mentaiko Mayo

    • 1 piece (20g) mentaiko
    • 🥫 2 tbsp mayonnaise
    • 🥛 1/2 tbsp milk

Slice the onion into 8 wedges.

Extract the mentaiko contents and mix with mayonnaise and milk in a bowl to create mentaiko mayo.

In a pot, add onion and seasoning ingredients (sake, mirin, sugar, soy sauce, ginger, water). Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer on medium heat for 5 minutes.

Add beef to the pot, breaking it apart. Skim off any foam and simmer on low heat for 5-6 minutes.

Serve half of the rice in a bowl, top with half of the cooked beef mixture, takana pickles, and mentaiko mayo. Repeat for the second serving.
