Sweet and Spicy Stir-fried Beef and Yam

INGREDIENTS

  • Meat

    • 🥩 200g thinly sliced beef
  • Vegetables

    • 150g yam, sliced
    • đź§… 1 tbsp chopped green onion
  • Cooking Oil

    • 1 tbsp salad oil
  • Seasoning

    • 2 tbsp sake
    • 1.5 tbsp mirin
    • 🍬 2 tsp sugar
    • 1.5 tbsp soy sauce
    • 2 tsp grated ginger

Cut the yam in half lengthwise, then slice into 1cm thick pieces.

Mix the seasoning ingredients (sake, mirin, sugar, soy sauce, ginger) in a bowl.

Heat salad oil in a frying pan over low heat, add the yam slices, and cook each side for 3–4 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the pan.

Add the beef to the same pan and stir-fry over medium heat until the beef changes color.

Add the mixed seasoning to the beef and stir-fry until evenly coated.

Return the yam slices to the pan and stir-fry everything together.

Serve on a plate and sprinkle with chopped green onion.
