INGREDIENTS
Vegetables
- 🍄 4 shiitake mushrooms
- 1 sheet (250g) konjac
- 1 chili pepper
Oil
- 1 tsp sesame oil
Seasoning
- 1 tbsp mirin
- đź§‚ 1 tsp sugar
- 1/3 tsp Japanese dashi powder
- đź’§ 150 ml water
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
STEPS
Cut off the stems of shiitake mushrooms and slice them in half vertically. Cut konjac into 1 cm wide strips, make a slit in the center, and twist through. Tear chili pepper in half and remove seeds.
Boil water in a pot, add the konjac, and boil for about 3 minutes. Drain the water.
Heat the pot over medium heat, add konjac, and stir-fry for about 2 minutes to evaporate moisture. Add sesame oil and stir until evenly coated.
Add all seasonings except soy sauce and chili pepper to the pot. Bring to a boil, add shiitake mushrooms, cover, and simmer on low heat for 3 minutes. Add soy sauce, cover again, and simmer for another 7 minutes.
