- A pinch of black pepper
- 0.5 tbsp sesame seeds
- A small amount of sesame oil
STEPS
Cut the squid into bite-sized pieces. Slice the onion and carrot. Score the squid's body for better flavor absorption.
Mix soy sauce, minced garlic, sugar, corn syrup, rice wine, black pepper, and sesame seeds in a bowl.
Heat oil in a pan and stir-fry the onion and carrot over medium heat.
When the onion turns translucent, add the squid and stir-fry quickly over high heat.
Add the prepared seasoning mixture to the pan and stir-fry until the sauce thickens slightly.
Add sliced green onion and drizzle sesame oil before finishing.
Serve the squid stir-fry over rice and drizzle some sauce on top.
