INGREDIENTS
Vegetables
- 🥔 6 small new potatoes (300g)
- 🧅 Chopped green onion, as needed
Cooking Oil
- 1 tbsp salad oil
Seasonings
- 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
- 🧂 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 🧈 20g salted butter
- 💧 200ml water
STEPS
Wash the new potatoes thoroughly, cut them in half with the skin on, and soak in water. Drain well.
Heat salad oil in a pot over medium heat. Add the potatoes and sauté until the surface is golden brown.
Add the seasonings (sugar, soy sauce, butter, and water) and bring to a boil. Cover with a drop lid and simmer on low heat for 10–15 minutes until the potatoes are tender.
Remove the lid and drop lid. Continue simmering until the sauce reduces to half.
Serve on a plate and garnish with chopped green onion.
