Simmered Daikon Radish with Tuna and Ginger Miso

INGREDIENTS

  • Canned Goods

    • 🐟 1 can (70g) water-packed tuna
  • Vegetables

    • 🥬 150g (5cm) daikon radish
    • 1/3 pack kaiware sprouts
  • Condiments

    • 1 tbsp miso
    • 💧 100cc water
  • Seasonings

    • 1 tbsp sake
    • 1 tbsp mirin
    • 1 tsp grated ginger

Cut the daikon radish into quarter slices and then into 7mm thick pieces. Trim the roots off the kaiware sprouts and cut them in half.

Add daikon and water to a pot and bring to a boil. Stir in the canned tuna and mix well. Cover and simmer on low heat for 3 minutes.

Add the seasonings (sake, mirin, ginger) and dissolve the miso into the mixture. Stir well, cover, and simmer for another 3 minutes.

Serve in a dish and garnish with kaiware sprouts.
