    • 1 piece (60g) hanpen
    • 1 pack (15 pieces) shishito peppers
    • 🥕 1/3 carrot, julienned
  • Oil and Seasoning

    • 2 tsp sesame oil
    • White sesame seeds, to taste

    • đź§‚ 2 tsp sugar
    • 1 tsp sake
    • 1 tsp mirin
    • 1 tbsp soy sauce

Cut the shishito peppers diagonally in half. Slice the hanpen in half horizontally, then into thin slices. Julienne the carrot.

Heat sesame oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the carrot and stir-fry until softened. Then, add the hanpen and shishito peppers, stirring to combine.

Add the sauce ingredients (sugar, sake, mirin, soy sauce) and stir to coat everything evenly. Sprinkle with white sesame seeds before serving.
