INGREDIENTS
Protein
- 🥩 200g sliced beef
Vegetables
- 2 taro roots (300g), peeled and sliced
- 1 piece minced ginger
- 🧄 1 clove minced garlic
- 🧅 Chopped green onion, as needed
Seasoning
- 🧂 Pinch of salt and pepper
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
Sauces
- 1 tbsp sake
- 🍬 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp chili paste
STEPS
Peel and slice the taro roots into 1cm pieces. Rub with salt, rinse thoroughly, and microwave for 3 minutes at 600W.
Cut the beef into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper.
Mince the ginger and garlic, removing the core from the garlic.
Heat sesame oil in a pan over low heat, sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant. Add beef and cook until browned.
Add taro to the pan and stir-fry for 1 minute. Cover and steam on low heat for 4-5 minutes until taro softens.
Add the sauce ingredients (sake, sugar, soy sauce, oyster sauce, chili paste) and stir well to combine.
Serve on a plate and garnish with chopped green onion.
