INGREDIENTS
Meat
- 180g thinly sliced pork belly
Vegetables
- 茄子 3 eggplants (240g), trimmed
- 洋葱 Chopped green onion, as needed
Oil
- 1 tsp salad oil
Seasoning
- 💧 100cc water
- 🧂 1 tsp sugar
- 3 tbsp ponzu soy sauce
STEPS
Cut the pork belly slices in half lengthwise.
Trim the eggplants and cut them into quarters lengthwise.
Wrap the pork tightly around each eggplant piece, pressing gently to secure. Make 12 rolls in total.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Place the rolls seam-side down and cook for about 1 minute. Roll them around until evenly browned.
Add water, sugar, and ponzu sauce to the pan. Mix well, cover, and simmer on low heat for 4–5 minutes, turning occasionally.
Serve on a plate and garnish with chopped green onions.
