INGREDIENTS
Seafood
- 🐚 200g clams (purged)
Vegetables
- 50g bean sprouts
Condiments
- 🧂 1/3 tsp salt
Soup Base
- 2 tbsp sake
- 💧 500ml water
Toppings
- 1 sheet roasted nori
- White sesame seeds, as needed
STEPS
Place clams in a bowl with plenty of water and rub the shells together to clean. Rinse under running water and drain.
In a pot, add clams and the soup base ingredients (sake and water). Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer over medium-low heat until the clams open.
Skim off any foam, add salt and bean sprouts, and gently mix. Cover and cook for another 2 minutes.
Tear the roasted nori into small pieces and add to the pot. Stir briefly and cook for a few seconds. Serve in bowls and sprinkle with white sesame seeds.
