INGREDIENTS
Main
- 🍗 300g chicken thigh
- đź§‚ A pinch of salt and pepper
- 🌾 Enough flour for coating
- 🥚 1 beaten egg
- 🍞 100g fresh panko breadcrumbs
- Enough vegetable oil for frying
Sauce
- 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp mirin
- đź’§ 1 tbsp water
- 2 tbsp red miso
- 🌰 1 tbsp white sesame seeds
STEPS
Mix sugar, mirin, and water in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat uncovered at 600W for 1 minute. Add the remaining sauce ingredients, mix well, and let cool.
Cut the chicken thigh into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper.
Coat the chicken pieces in flour, dip them in beaten egg, and cover with panko breadcrumbs.
Heat vegetable oil in a pan to 170°C. Fry the chicken pieces for 7–8 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through.
Serve the fried chicken on a plate and drizzle with miso sauce.
