INGREDIENTS
Vegetable
- 300g lotus root
Starch
- 4 tbsp potato starch
Seafood
- 1 piece (50g) mentaiko
Seasoning
- đź§‚ Pinch of salt and pepper
Oil
- 1/2 tbsp salad oil
STEPS
Slice 6 thin pieces of lotus root and grate the rest. Coat the sliced lotus root with 1 tbsp potato starch.
Make a cut in the mentaiko and extract the contents.
Mix the grated lotus root with mentaiko, 3 tbsp potato starch, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
Divide the mixture into 6 portions, shape into balls, and flatten to about 1cm thickness. Place a slice of lotus root on top and press lightly.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan. Place the patties with the lotus root slice side down. Cook on medium heat until golden brown, then flip and cook the other side until evenly browned.
