INGREDIENTS
Vegetable
- 150g lotus root, sliced
Meat
- 200g thinly sliced pork belly
Oil
- 1 tbsp salad oil
Seasoning
- 1 tbsp potato starch
- Pinch of salt and pepper
- White sesame seeds, as needed
Sauce
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1 tsp mirin
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
STEPS
Cut the lotus root in half, slice into 1cm pieces, and soak in water. Drain well.
Season the pork slices with salt and pepper, then coat with potato starch.
Place a slice of lotus root on the pork and roll it up. Coat the rolls with additional potato starch.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Cook the rolls until browned on both sides. Add the sauce ingredients and coat the rolls evenly.
Plate the rolls and sprinkle with white sesame seeds before serving.
