  • Mushroom

    • 🍄 4 king oyster mushrooms (160g)
  • Vegetables

    • đź§… 1/3 scallion (30g), minced
  • Oil

    • 1 tsp sesame oil for cooking
  • Sauce

    • 1 1/2 tbsp ponzu sauce
    • 1 tsp sesame oil
    • A pinch of grated ginger
    • 1/2 tsp white sesame seeds

Cut the king oyster mushrooms in half lengthwise and make shallow cuts on the sides. Mince the scallion.

Mix the minced scallion with ponzu sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, and white sesame seeds in a bowl to make the scallion ponzu sauce.

Heat sesame oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Place the mushrooms cut-side down and press occasionally with a spatula. Cook for about 3 minutes until golden brown.

Flip the mushrooms, cover the pan, and steam-fry for 2 minutes until cooked through.

Plate the mushrooms and drizzle the scallion ponzu sauce over them.
