    • 🍗 1 piece (250g) chicken thigh
  • Vegetables

    • đź§… 1/2 stalk green onion
    • 🍋 1/2 lemon, sliced
  • Oil and Seasoning

    • 1 tbsp salad oil
    • 1 tsp Japanese dashi powder
    • 1 tbsp sake
    • đź’§ 50cc water
    • đź§‚ Salt and pepper to taste
  • Thickening Agent

    • 1 tbsp cornstarch
    • đź’§ 2 tbsp water

STEPS

Score the underside of the chicken thigh skin lightly and season with salt and pepper.

Cut the green onion into 2cm diagonal slices and slice the lemon into half-moon shapes.

Heat salad oil in a frying pan and place the chicken skin-side down, adding the green onion around it.

Cook the green onion on both sides until tender, flip the chicken once browned, and cook through. Remove from the pan.

Wipe excess oil from the pan, add dashi powder, sake, water, lemon slices, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil and thicken with cornstarch slurry. Pour over the chicken and serve.
