  • Chicken

    • 🍗 4 chicken tenders
    • 1/2 tbsp sake
    • đź§‚ Pinch of salt and pepper
    • Cornstarch as needed
    • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
    • 🌰 White sesame seeds as needed
  • Miso Sauce

    • 1/2 tbsp sake
    • 1/2 tbsp mirin
    • 🍬 1/2 tbsp sugar
    • đź§‚ 1/2 tsp soy sauce
    • 1 tbsp red miso

Remove the tendons from the chicken tenders and cut them into bite-sized pieces. Season with sake, salt, and pepper, and let sit for 5 minutes. Pat dry with a paper towel and coat both sides with cornstarch. Skewer 4-6 pieces per stick.

Mix the miso sauce ingredients in a microwave-safe bowl. Cover lightly with plastic wrap and microwave at 600W for 30 seconds until thickened. Stir well.

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the chicken skewers and cook until browned. Flip, cover with a lid, and cook on low heat until fully cooked.

Plate the skewers, drizzle with miso sauce, and sprinkle with white sesame seeds.
