INGREDIENTS
Meat
- 200g ground pork
Vegetables
- 1/2 burdock root, thinly sliced
- đź§… 1/2 green onion, minced
- đź§… Chopped green onion, as needed
Seasoning
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp sake
- đź§‚ 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp grated ginger
- 2 tsp potato starch
Sauce
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
STEPS
Scrape the skin off the burdock root with the back of a knife and slice thinly. Soak in water and drain. Mince the green onion.
In a bowl, mix burdock root, green onion, ground pork, and the seasoning ingredients until sticky. Divide into 6 portions and shape into patties.
Heat sesame oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the patties and cook until browned. Flip, cover with a lid, and cook on low heat for about 6 minutes.
Remove the lid, add the sauce ingredients, and stir to coat the patties. Cook over medium heat until the liquid evaporates. Serve and garnish with chopped green onion.
