INGREDIENTS
Grain
- 🍚 2 cups soaked rice
Canned Fish
- 🐟 2 cans ginger-simmered sardines (200g)
Vegetable
- 10cm burdock root (30g), sliced
Seasoning
- 🧂 1/2 tsp salt
- 🌰 2 tbsp white toasted sesame seeds
Herb
- 2 shiso leaves, torn
Liquid
- 💧 Water as needed
STEPS
Slice the burdock root thinly, soak in water, and drain.
Add soaked rice to the rice cooker, then add the liquid from the sardine cans (excluding the sardines), salt, and water up to the 2-cup mark. Spread the burdock slices on top and cook as usual.
Mix in the sardines and toasted sesame seeds, breaking the sardines gently. Serve in bowls and garnish with torn shiso leaves.
