INGREDIENTS
Meat
- 🥩 200g thinly sliced beef
Vegetables
- 🥔 300g daikon radish, peeled and sliced
- 1 piece ginger, thinly sliced
- đź§… 1/4 stalk green onion, chopped
Other
- 125g konnyaku, torn into pieces
- 1 tbsp salad oil
- 2 tbsp red miso
- Shichimi togarashi, to taste
Seasonings
- 2 tbsp sake
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 🍬 2 tbsp sugar
- đź§‚ 1 tbsp soy sauce
- đź’§ 200ml water
STEPS
Peel and slice the daikon radish into 1cm thick pieces. Thinly slice the ginger.
Cut the beef into bite-sized pieces.
Tear the konnyaku into bite-sized pieces using a spoon. Boil the konnyaku in water for 3 minutes, then drain.
Heat salad oil in a pan over medium heat. Cook the beef until browned, then remove from the pan.
Add daikon, ginger, konnyaku, and the seasonings (sake, mirin, sugar, soy sauce, water) to the pan. Bring to a boil, then simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes until the daikon is tender.
Add red miso and stir to dissolve. Return the beef to the pan and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Serve in a bowl, garnish with chopped green onion, and sprinkle shichimi togarashi.
