Beef and Maitake Simmered Stir-fry

    • 🥩 200g sliced beef
  • Vegetables

    • 🍄 1 pack (100g) maitake mushrooms
    • 2 slices ginger
    • đź§… 1 tbsp chopped green onion
  • Seasonings

    • 3 tbsp sake
    • 1.5 tbsp mirin
    • 🍬 2 tsp sugar
    • 2 tbsp soy sauce
    • đź’§ 50cc water

STEPS

Trim the base of the maitake mushrooms and break them into bite-sized pieces. Slice the ginger thinly.

Heat the seasonings (sake, mirin, sugar, soy sauce, water) in a pot. Add the ginger just before boiling.

Add the beef to the pot and simmer on low heat until the beef changes color.

Add the maitake mushrooms, mix briefly, cover with a lid, and simmer on low heat for 5 minutes.

Remove the lid and stir gently while simmering on low heat until the liquid is absorbed.

Serve the dish on a plate and garnish with chopped green onions.
